Pastors Gary & Ernestine Everett serves as part of the Pastoral Team of SOF, Pomona under the pastorate of Bishop Henry B. Alexander. Pastor Gary serves as 1st Assistant Pastor and Pastor Ernestine as an Administrative Pastor. Both are passionate about ministering to broken and hurting humanity with special interest in women and families. They are the founders of the Breath of the Holy Spirit Ministries and travels and speak to Women’s Fellowships, conducts Retreats, Revivals and Conferences.
Pastors Gary and Ernestine are committed to the work of the kingdom and are passionate about living lives of holiness and integrity before God and man.
They are the blessed parents of one married son, Joshua Everett
(wife, Aarial K. Everett) and the glowing grandparents of two granddaughters, Jordyn and Jasmin. They enjoy spending special moments with family, traveling and reading.
Dr. Jimerson

Dr. Jimerson became a member of Shield of Faith in 1987 and has served for over 20 years in multiple capacities. He is a Founder and Teacher of Abundant Life Ministry; He taught the Sunday School Leadership Class. At the request of Bishop Alexander, Dr. Jimerson started the Shield of Faith Christian School grades (grades K-12). He organized concessions which helped fund the Christian School for several years. He is a member of the Board of Directors and Council of Elders; He served as a Five Group Leader for the Cell Group ministry; He served as Administrator of the Shield of Faith foreign Missions; He served as a member of the Economic Development Committee; He worked with the Youth; He is presently a member of the Finance Committee, the Planning Committee, he is a member of TAME and he is the Senior Assistant Pastor of Shield Of Faith, Pomona, and he has served in that capacity for several years.
Bishop Newman

Bishop James R. and Evang. Geneva Newman have been members of the Shield of Faith Christian Center, Pomona, CA since latter part of 1997. Bishop Newman recently celebrated his 60th spiritual birthday and Evang. Newman her 35 spiritual birthday. They have faithfully worked in ministry for many years in the capacity of Sunday School teachers, counselors and staff pastor. Bishop Newman has done extensive work in the country of Mexico along with Evang. Newman. He was one of the first bishops to be ordained over a diocese in the SOF Fellowship of Churches International. Bishop Newman's theme for the ministry in Mexico was and is "Building Hope Where Hope Seems to be lost". Bishop Newman recently retired from the work in Mexico and has now made himself available for teaching and counseling. It is his desire to bring the family of God into a better knowledge of marriage according to God's plan. Evang. Newman has served as President of the SOF Fellowship of Churches International Prayer Network for the past three years. Her goal is to impact the ministry with a prayer connection throughout the Fellowship of churches with intercessors interceding for the ministry worldwide.

Pastor Walters serves as the Second Assistant Pastor and Personal Assistant to Bishop Henry B. Alexander, Senior Pastor of Shield of Faith Christian Center. Moreover, He is The Mid-Level Manager of Church Administration and development, overseeing Christian Education, Public Relations, and the Deacon’s Board. Pastor Walters sits on the board of Church Growth & Strategic Planning Committee. Pastor Walters is married to the love of his life of 24 years, Pastor Cyndela G. Walters. They are proud parents of 5 wonderfully saved children who are all actively working in ministry. Pastor Cyndela Is the President of Women of Excellence, a member of the TAME ministry and staff pastor as well as being a Church Growth & Strategic Planning Committee member.

Pastor Darren & Kitt Madkin
Pastor Darren served in many capacities in the church. First as a choir member; for a short time as a youth usher; later he was appointed as the youth leader for the congregation; he served as a care group leader; a five care group leader; Sunday School teacher, Deacon, altar worker, and a lead singer with the worship team. In March of 1988, Brother Darren acknowledged that he was called by God to preach the word and was formally licensed by the California/Nevada and Hawaii District Council as a minister; he would eventually be appointed as the Youth Pastor of the Shield of Faith Christian Center. Pastor Madkin has a BA degree from Cal State Fullerton in Political Science and a Masters Degree in Public Administration from the University of La Verne.
Sister Kitt Langston, of Riverside California, was baptized and filled with the Holy Ghost at the age of 18 at the First Apostolic Church of Inglewood under the pastorate of the late Dr. Wayne Davis. Sister Kitt attended the University of California at San Diego in the mid 1980’s and while there attended the Greater Apostolic Faith Temple Church pastored by the late Bishop Charles L. Taylor. Sister Kitt eventually found her way to the Shield of Faith where she became actively involved in ministry. After accepting her own call into the ministry, Sister Kitt was licensed by the California/Nevada and Hawaii District Council to preach the Gospel in March 1988. After diligent study, Minister Kitt received her Bachelors of Science Degree from Cal State Fullerton in 1989. On August 5, 1989, Pastor Madkin married Minister Kitt Langston and the Lord blessed Darren and Kitt with three wonderful children, Drake (age 15), Paige (age 13), and Brooke (age 9). |
